Champ is an 8 year old Newfoundland and native Mainer, though has traveled the country with his family and visited multiple states. He is gentle, wise, patient, loving and kind. He has been a registered therapy dog with the Alliance of Therapy Dogs since 2019. He stops people in their tracks while giving them the biggest smile and warmest heart when they see him. Cars pass slowly, point, smile and wave at him. He is walking love and light. A beating path with heart.
Champ loves to go swimming and eat ice cream. Rolling around in the snow and playing outside in the woods are his favorite things to do. Champ loves to play soccer, hide and seek and keep away. He also loves to travel, take naps and have his belly scratched.
Champ worked in a residential youth setting with 13-17 year olds everyday before retiring his therapy vest.
